Government-Furnished Material/Property/Equipment

7.4 Government-Furnished Material/Property/Equipment: No Government furnished property or equipment is provided under this contract.

7.4.1 Material: None

7.4.2 Property: None

7.4.2.1 Facilities:

7.4.2.1.1 Contractor Storage Site: The Government will make available to the Contractor a site, designated by the Contracting Officer or the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), to be used for storage, maintenance, and mobilization during the contract period. The Contractor may park equipment, including trailers and trucks, and storage containers on the site for its own use and shall provide for the security of its materials and equipment. All items stored in this area shall be secured in such a way as to prevent unintended use and blow over during high wind environments. The site shall be maintained in a neat and orderly condition at all times. The site shall be restored to its previously existing conditions by the Contractor and to the satisfaction of the Contracting Officer or the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), after completion of contract work. The Contractor's responsibility shall not be considered completed until site restoration is complete.

7.4.2.1.2 Concrete Vaults and Holding Tanks: As-built drawings for most of the concrete vaults and septic tanks are not available. All of the vaults and septic tanks are underground with the access holes at the surface. All of the concrete vaults for the latrines have basically the same general type of design. The width, length and height dimensions vary with each structure and the access holes vary in location and size (6”-24” diameter). All sites are readily accessible to Contractors desiring to verify the specific dimensions to determine holding capacities. Access holes are covered with lids, but the lids are not secured with a locking device and can be lifted to view inside. The Government does not maintain records of the gallons pumped from any of these facilities. Most of the sites are either within a fenced-in area, on firing ranges, or in training areas that are not always open to the Contractor.

Coordination must be made with the using activity or Range Control to ensure that the area/facilities are not closed for any reason. All sites are easily accessible to the trucks required by the Contractor to perform the work under this Contract.

7.4.2.2 Utilities:

7.4.2.2.1 Waste Disposal: The contractor may dump waste products (grey water and septage) at the Fort Riley Sewage Treatment Plant located at building 8152. Waste will be dumped during scheduled business hours (currently between the hours of 0700-1500). The last dump must be completed prior to closing (no new dumping in last 30 minutes). This dumping station will be the only authorized dumping site on Fort Riley. The Contractor is strictly prohibited from dumping anything other than the waste collected on Fort Riley. The Contractor will be required to follow the Fort Riley Sewage Treatment Plant rules in order to be authorized to dump at their facility.

These requirements may include filling out a sewage dumping log at the dumping station each time waste is to be dumped and cleaning up the dump site after dumping. Fort Riley Sewage Treatment Plant personnel will provide briefing/tour/training for operators the first time they use the facility. All work performed under this contract including dumping shall be in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, ordinances and regulations. Any violations may result in termination of dumping privileges and require the contractor to dump waste at an approved county or city waste disposal site at no cost to the Government.

7.4.2.2.2 Potable Water: The contractor may obtain potable water at the potable water supply point located at the Custer Hill Combat Vehicle Wash Facility near building 8553.

7.4.3 Equipment: Not Used.

7.4.4 Other Items and Services: Not Used.
