About this file
This is a Questions & Answers document for a solicitation regarding Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) maintenance and repair services at Letterkenny Army Depot. The document clarifies the equipment inventory and scope of services, specifying 78 cylinders of varying capacities (48 45-min 5500psi, 16 75-min 5500psi, 14 15-min 4500psi), 34 Scott Air packs, 4 ska packs, and 2 Rit packs. The SCBA packs are X3 PRO Scott 3m NFPA 2018 models.
The Q&A confirms that SCBA Functional Flow Testing is not included in the scope of work, and the contractor is only required to perform annual calibration of the posichek unit, with LEAD personnel performing all SCBA maintenance. The document also identifies the specific equipment models: a Scott Revolve Air compressor (Model AC0404362110, Serial #02W-2506) located in the firehouse and an Air Trailer Scott Liberty Series (Model ABL18016, Serial #45T6F-1429).

Q4. In reading the Scope of Work, I did not see any SCBA Functional Flow Testing. Is that correct? No Air-PAKs to be Flow Tested?
A4. That is correct, SCBA Flow testing should not be included.
Q5. It appears that this requirement does NOT include the NFPA & DoD mandated POSICHEK “flow testing” of the SCBA equipment at LEAD as part of the preventative maintenance of the equipment.
A5. We only need our posichek unit calibrated annually and we will perform all the maintenance to our SCBAs.
