SUMMARY OF CHANGES

Narrative of Changes – Government Provided Amendment#4

Specification Changes

1. Specification Section 01 50 00.03 00. Changes to this specification are as follows:

3.3.1 Temporary Utilities – 1st Paragraph – After the phrase “contract drawings.” – Added the following “ As shown on Drawing E‐100102F, there are three CP#1 provided 150 kVA of transformers for joint use by the CP#1, CP#2, CP#3, and CP#5 construction contractors. The CP#3 contractor shall limit their electrical demand to 350 kVA on the existing temporary power feeder.

Source of power may be from existing 150 kVA transformers identified on the drawing, or otherwise approved additional distribution or transformers as CP#5 has implemented. “

3.3.1 Temporary Utilities – 2nd Paragraph ‐ After the phrase “codes and standards.” – Added the following “Temporary installations may not interfere with completion of CP#2 perimeter security (fence, buried sensors and vehicle barrier) installation. Temporary underground installations crossing the perimeter shall be removed or relocated prior to perimeter release for CP#2 work.”

2. Specification Section 01 19 30.03 29. Changes to this specification are as follows:

1.5.4 Real ID ACT – Changed date to “June 1, 2019”.

Added Paragraph “1.25.8 Post Award Non‐Structural Seismic Bracing Meeting” with the following verbiage, “Joint Non‐Structural Seismic Bracing Conference will be held on site at a mutually agreeable time within 24 days of the Preconstruction Meeting. The purpose of the conference is to jointly review the contract's non‐structural bracing requirements. This project site and structures can generate very high seismic forces. Equipment and systems associated with this project shall be seismically protected against damage from earthquakes. This requirement is not waived by system specific codes. Further, a large percentage of the systems at this site are classified as Mission Critical (MC). Classifications of each system and equipment are included in Sections 13 48 00.03 10 and 26 05 48.03 10.

Additionally, most elements of the project are classified as Risk Category V Structures, as identified in 13 48 00.03 00, meaning that the MC systems must remain operable immediately following the design seismic event. MC equipment is required to be seismically qualified and may not be readily available as commercially‐off‐the‐shelf. MC equipment may require testing, such as shake table testing. The seismic qualification will require peer review by a registered engineer.

The seismic bracing, anchorage and/or isolation requirements specified in UFC 3‐310‐04, Section 13 48 00.03 00, including appendices, Section 13 48 00.03 10, Section 26 05 48.03 10 and specific equipment manufacturer's requirements.

Seismic bracing has been designed and shown on the drawings for many systems. The contractor is responsible for employing a professional engineer to design seismic bracing, isolation and/or

W911KB19R0002

anchorage for these systems from the interface point shown. In addition, a seismic peer review is required for all MC systems and equipment.”
