About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a federal contract opportunity related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE) redeployment at Fort Cavazos. The Q&A addresses five key questions from potential bidders, providing critical clarification on proposal submission requirements. Notably, vendors must submit pricing for all equipment line items across the Base Contract and two Task Orders, have all required equipment readily available at contract start, and provide quotes for both the IDIQ Base Contract and Task Orders.

The contract is a single Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a 30-day ordering period, during which two initial task orders will be issued, with potential for additional task orders. Bidders are directed to reference attached documents including Questions 1 and 2 attachments, two Task Orders with structured Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs), Unit Density Lists, and the Performance Work Statement (PWS). While specific pricing details are not disclosed, vendors are advised to research previous contract award prices on SAM.gov.

Industry Questions and Answers #3

Question 1: When submitting bids, do you need pricing on ALL forklift line items, or just the 36K

Answer 1: You need to provide pricing on all pieces of equipment for the Base and both Task Orders.

Question 2: Do you happen to have any previous contract award prices I can cross reference for my proposal?

Answer 2: We cannot provide you with this information. However, you can look on SAM.Gov to find contract award information.

Question 3: I was wondering about the paragraph that states ‘the ordering period shall be thirty (30) days with FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services included. I see the specific timeframe of work but with options to extend, does that mean it’s a possible ongoing contract for deployments/training?

Answer 3: This requirement will be a single IDIQ with a 30-day ordering period. Two task orders will be cut from this contract initially, However during the 30 day ordering period, more task orders could follow.

Please reference the Questions 1 and 2 attachments, as well as the 2 Task Orders with structured CLINS, and the Unit Density Lists that were attached. Please also review the Performance Work Statement (PWS) within the Task Orders.

Question 4: Do I need to have all of the equipment stated in the task orders at the start of the contract?

Answer 4: You should have all equipment required, readily available at the start of the contract.

Question 5: Do I just include the pricing on the IDIQ Base Contract or do I need to also provide pricing on the Task Orders.

Answer 5: Yes, please provide quotes for both the Task Orders and the Single Base RFQ listed in the solicitation.
