DPW RESPONSE: Disregard. See revised plans.

47. E-101 Note 3 says to install 3 - #10 wires in a ¾” rigid conduit. Why do we have to use rigid instead of EMT?

Why #10 wire when #12 is sufficient based on length and load?

DPW RESPONSE: See revised plans. EMT is acceptable.

48. E-501 Note 18 says to provide a #2 copper ground to a ¾” backboard bus, is that the backboard mounted in the Comms room or is there another board somewhere?

49. E-601 MDP Panel schedule says 15A 3 pole breaker for AHU-1 but in the Motor Schedule it says 50A?

50. Reference sheet PD-101, Note 1 – It calls out to demo all hot, cold and waste water piping along with the plumbing fixtures, but does not state where piping demo id to terminate. The details on sheets P-101 and P-601 show to connect to existing piping , contradicting sheet PD-101. Please clarify?

DPW RESPONSE: See revised plans. Sewer to point of demarcation 5’ out with double cleanout. Domestic to meter/backflow.

51. Can you please ask for clarification for sheet E-601? The motor schedule and MDP panel schedule do not jive.

CU-1 motor schedule says 90A and panel MDP says 80A, AHU-1 on Motor schedule says 3 phase 50A and MDP Schedule says 15A. Motor schedule says EF 1, 2, 3 are 15A and MDP schedule says 20A. HWP-1 says 15A on Motor schedule but MDP says 20A. Need to know correct amperage in order to balance the panel?

DPW RESPONSE: Disregard. See revised plans.

52. Will subcontractors be required to submit a silica dust plan? Is so, what requirements will be required?

DPW RESPONSE: Reference the specifications. Follow specs if/when silica dust is created.

DPW RESPONSE: Reference the hazmat report.

54. Will the mechanical room be abated?

DPW RESPONSE: Yes.

55. Inside the mechanical room there is a large piece of sheet metal covering an exterior vent that is requiring paint, are we to leave the cover in place?

DPW RESPONSE: See revised plans.

56. What is the extent of the landscaping? Will the drawings encapsulate the landscaping area that will require work?

DPW RESPONSE: See revised plans.

57. The tree located on the west side of the project overhangs the sidewalk. Are we required to cut down flush with soil? Will root grinding be required?

DPW RESPONSE: See revised plans. Cut that tree down and grind the stump. No tree replacement required on that one.

58. Is there a need for the flashing per sheet A-304, detail 1? (Installing flashing will require removing more brick above and installing something to support brick while flashing is installed).

DPW RESPONSE: Disregard. See revised plans.

59. What type of material is flashing?

DPW RESPONSE: See revised plans.

60. Is there a larger or blown up detail of Detail 1 sheet A-304?

61. Per sheet AD-101/Key NOTE # 4 – Temporary Lintel – what size of temporary lintel is needed?

DPW RESPONSE: Disregard. See revised plans.

DPW RESPONSE: See revised plans.

69. What proper procedure will be utilized to place steel lintel along with columns in wall without wall being compromised or losing its integrity?

DPW RESPONSE: See revised plans.

70. Type F and F1 fixtures. New Star is specified compact fluorescent for types F and F1 on the fixture schedule.

However the part number specified has been discontinued by New Star. “We have replaced the NSR with our T-series”. The T- series is only available as an LED fixture. Do they want the replacement LED fixture quoted? Or is there another fixture that the engineer or architect want quoted instead?

DPW RESPONSE: Disregard. See revised plans.

71. Is this project Sales Tax exempt? If the project is Sales Tax exempt can the Government provide a sales tax exemption certificate?

Yes this project is Sales Tax Exempt and no the Government does not provide a sales tax exemption certificate.

72. Will the Government provide comprehensive written badging requirements for the project if badging is required?

75. Does the Government have a fire alarm servicer that they currently work with? What is the name and contact information of the person or persons that will need to be coordinated with for security and fire alarm and suppression systems work and/or disruptions?

DPW RESPONSE: We don’t have one on staff or one we use and we are unable to recommend one.

76. Does the Government currently have a third party testing service for those items requiring testing or is the contractor free to locate and hire applicable testing firms?

DPW RESPONSE: Government does not have a third party testing service on call. Contractor hires applicable testing firms.

77. Who is responsible for the utility locations?

DPW RESPONSE: Reference DIV 01, Submittals, Permit process. It is recommended that a dig permit application be submitted within 24 hrs of NTP. Consider a Dig Permit a “long lead” item.

78. Please confirm that the specification book has divisions that will not be used on this specific project?

DPW RESPONSE: Yes.

Is it a universal documents that is being used for other jobs on site?
