About this file
This document is a Requirements Document that outlines the High Level Disinfection (HLD) requirements and locations for various medical services at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
The document provides details on the HLD needs for the Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary, ENT/Radiation Oncology, and General Surgery services, including the types of scopes, average daily HLD volumes, hours of operation, and required equipment and chemicals. It also notes the potential workload increase if scopes were reprocessed every 10 days instead of daily. Additionally, the document indicates the facility requires 24/7/365 in-house coverage for HLD services across all medical departments.
This information is relevant to the federal contract opportunity for "Comprehensive Sterile Processing Distribution, Operating Rooms and Outpatient Clinical Support Services" at BAMC, solicitation number W81K0024R0002. The solicitation seeks a contractor to independently manage the end-to-end sterile processing workflow, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and utilization of medical instruments and equipment.
