Product Government Format TDP Requirements for Advanced Manufacturing Technical Data Package
Technical Data Package (TDP) Requirements
The production level TDP shall consist of technical information necessary to advance manufacture items of selected parts. Production data shall reflect the approved, tested, and accepted configuration of the selected hardware items.
TDP shall follow requirements in TDP Option Selection Worksheet in APPENDIX A and include the Minimum Required Parameters in APPENDIX B. The CAD solid modeling software application shall be PTC’s Creo. Version of CAD software used for CAD data delivery will be agreed upon during early discussions with the contractor. The contractor shall verify that TDP CAD models open without errors before each delivery.
Advanced Manufacturing Technical Data Standards and Best Practices
The contractor shall develop the Advanced Manufacturing Technical Data Models in accordance with USG Creo SOP, MIL-STD-31000B, ASME Y14.41, ASTM ISO/ASTM 52921, and MIL-STD-3049 w/CHANGE 1 - 2014.
Material Assignment in CAD Models
All selected candidate Advanced Manufacturing parts shall be assigned material files and their alternate material in the native CAD models.
Technical Data Deliverable File Formats
Advanced Manufacturing technical data shall include:
1. Selected candidate parts newly developed, modified, or with Government specifically negotiated rights. Selected parts shall be parametric and feature based 3D CAD models for Advanced Manufacturing that include parameters and material files.
2. Excel spreadsheet.
Each TDP shall be accompanied with the TDP Indentured Bill of Material (IBOM) in excel format (See Attachment 0030 and CDRL A006, Product Baseline – IBOM).
File Naming Convention
Newly developed, modified or legacy items with Army Ordinance Part Numbers or commercial/standard part numbers shall be named using the following convention:
CAGE_Part Number.prt, i.e. 19207_12345678.prt, 39428_4464k13.prt, etc.
Associated PDF files shall have the same filename with extension “.pdf”.
Item Identification Traceability
The Contractor shall prepare the technical data so all applicable product definition documents and part identifying numbers (PIN), i.e. associated lists, test criteria, program-unique and process specifications, standard parts, etc., are referenced (top to lowest part item level) within the TDP for traceability.
Modified Legacy Technical Data
When legacy technical data is modified, at a minimum, the data shall be prepared to contract requirement for developmental items.
Security Markings
The contractor shall apply the applicable DoD Technical Distribution Statement and Export Control Warning to all technical data produced or delivered in accordance with DODI 5230.24, as required by the contract. All statements, notices, and data rights legends shall be applied to all drawings on each sheet, directly above or adjacent to the title block. Associated lists and other related documents that are primarily of a textual nature shall have markings applied to each page. On models, all markings shall be applied to initial layer at opening.
Data Rights Markings
The contractor shall apply data rights legends including Distribution Statement and Export Control Warning to all delivered models flat to screen at opening.
Product Baseline Changes
At establishment of the Product Baseline and beyond, revised data shall cite the Engineering Release Record (ERR) Number in the description of change block or applicable CAD parameter as authorization to release the data, and shall be married to the ERR package.
