About this file
This document is a deprocessing checklist for a Bridge Erection Boat (BEB). It outlines the steps required to unpack, inventory, inspect, and test a BEB upon receipt from the manufacturer. These steps include unpacking and inspecting components, conducting a full inventory of basic issue items and the initial support package, verifying the crew protection kit is intact, and performing a swim test of the BEB which involves maneuvering and performance checks at increasing engine speeds up to maximum RPM. The checklist is to be used by the gaining unit and PM representative upon receipt of each new BEB to ensure all tasks are completed and the equipment is fully operational prior to acceptance.
