About this file

These are civil engineering construction drawings for a Tree Removal Area project at Camp Murray, dated 28 September 2026. The project involves site preparation and clearing work within defined boundaries near the American Lake shoreline, Quartermaster Road, 41st Division Way, and the Air Support Operations Center.

Key construction requirements include: installation of a 6-foot high chain link fence with tan-colored fabric around the entire site designed to withstand strong wind loads; demolition and removal of existing features as required; clearing and grubbing of existing topsoil within construction limits with stockpiling for use in planting specifications; and removal of existing trees as part of clearing operations. Critical environmental compliance mandates that clearing, grubbing, and tree removal cannot occur between February and August due to nesting and breeding of select bird species at the facility; if construction must occur during this period, pre-construction bird surveys must be conducted immediately preceding activities to identify active nests and implement necessary protection procedures in consultation with relevant agencies and the Contracting Officer. Additional requirements include verification of all existing utilities prior to demolition and construction, removal of temporary construction fencing upon project completion, repair of any damage to existing grade or pavement at contractor expense, sediment removal and ditch scarification prior to demolition, placement of plastic coverings over stockpile materials per Department of Ecology standards, and seeding of all exposed areas with temporary erosion control seed mix. The drawings show site layouts with coordinate references, topographic survey information, and erosion and sediment control details.
