RE: REV1 Final Status Survey Report Remediation Corrosion Control Facility – Building 403 Contract No. W91364-16-P-0217
Dear Capt. Chung;
I have attached REV1 of the Final Status Survey Report which includes additional information and clarification in response to the FSSR review comments provided by OANG Civil Engineering, Safety, and Environmental Management Offices, on December 03, 2016 and Bioenvironmental Engineering on December 08, 2016. In general, the OANG comments included the following:
Clarification regarding the shipment of material off-site Request for consistent use of the term “as free as practicable” from the RWP through the FSSR.
Additional clarification for the remaining dust
This revised document provides additional information and clarification to the OANG comments as follows:
Additional clarification concerning the shipment of material off-site provided with additional Bill of Ladings information.
A revision to the Certification Statement adding the phrase “as free as practicable” to provide consistent terminology with the RWP.
Revision of the FSSR to include additional clarification regarding the existing equipment, contents and interior conditions of Building 403 as it remains a Corrosion Control Facility.
Please confirm acceptance of the Deliverable (REV1 Final Status Survey Report) by Friday, December 16, 2016. Unless otherwise notified in writing of any issues, WAI will consider the Deliverable to be approved and accepted as submitted with a “no further action required” status.
As we have stated previously, in the event the OANG would plan to refurbish or renovation Building 403, we have included a recommendation to remove peeling paint prior to the installation of any new DMB equipment. Once Building 403 resumes operations, we would further recommend the use of 30” x 24” disposable “tacky” walk-off mats from Grainger Choice, 3M, or Crown Matting Technologies to help control the migration of materials within Building 403.
If you have any questions regarding the Final Status Survey Report, I can be reached by phone at (740) 443-7131, or by email at Scott.Moore@wadv.com
