About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) response related to a construction project for repairing Building 53. The RFI addresses three key questions: payment bond requirements, submittal procedures, and existing urinal specifications.
The government confirms a payment bond covering 100% of the contract price is required for awards exceeding $35,000, with submittal requirements outlined in Section I and the SAM attachments. Regarding fixtures, the urinals are manufactured by American Standard, though no specific model number was identified. Pictures of existing fixtures have been attached for informational purposes, and contractors are advised to contact the point of contact for potential site visit scheduling.

# RFI Government Response
The solicitation indicates on page 20 that this project requires a payment bond totaling 100% of the contract price.
Can you please verify if this is true?
That is correct – the payment bond submitted after award needs to cover 100% of the contract price. A payment bond will be required if the award amount exceeds $35,000 (ref. Section L, Bonding Requirements, on page 37).
2 Are you requiring submittals for the fixtures?
The submittal clause, FAR 52.236-5, is in Section I, the AF66 Schedule of Material Submittals is in the SAM attachments, and the forms used (AF3000) with procedures are in the SOW General Requirements para. 10 (page 1).
3 Could you confirm the make/model of the current urinals?
The urinals make is American Standard. A model number could not be located. Pictures of the existing fixtures have been added to attachments. NOTE: Pictures are for informational purposes only and contractors are responsible for verifying all site conditions. If any contractor wants to schedule a follow-up site visit, please contact the POC on this notice.
