About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) Log documenting questions and responses related to Solicitation W50S8F26QA022 for a 200 kilowatt generator and 800 amp automatic transfer switch (ATS) installation at RSS facilities. All seven RFIs were received on September 9, 2026, and the solicitation was extended to September 23, 2026.

Key details from the responses include: the contractor will install brand new equipment with no removal of existing equipment required; no concrete pad foundation is required for the generator installation; photos and schematics will be provided by the Government in lieu of a site visit; the point of connection information (service equipment type and rating) was marked NA and not clarified; and the performance schedule allows 120 calendar days for delivery and installation of the generator, which is longer than the initially referenced 60-calendar-day delivery requirement. The Government declined to schedule a site visit open to all offerors but committed to providing site documentation. Offerors requesting additional clarification on distances between equipment locations and existing electrical service connection points did not receive specific measurements or site drawings in the responses documented.

Extension request: To allow time for a site visit to be scheduled and its findings incorporated into pricing, we respectfully request a corresponding extension of the quote due date.
