About this file

This document is a site specification and reference guide for a mezzanine reinforcement project. The work involves installing three structural beams against the slab in a mezzanine area to provide additional support. The beams will be positioned approximately 12 to 15 inches above existing conduit, which will not interfere with the installation. Prior to work commencement, the government will clear all equipment from the area under the mezzanine. The contractor will have access via an adjacent roll-up door and is authorized to store materials and equipment under the mezzanine during business hours only, with after-hours access prohibited.

The document provides photographic reference materials showing the exact mezzanine location requiring reinforcement, the approximate positions of the three beams on the slab, critical penetration points and conduit locations to avoid during installation, and the equipment room on the mezzanine level. Multiple angles and close-up views are included to identify specific penetration locations marked with orange arrows that contractors should reference when planning installation methodology. The specifications emphasize the importance of verifying clearances around existing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems before commencing work.
