About this file
This is an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Requirements specification attachment for a federal facility project.
The requirement specifies procurement of three separate UPS systems with distinct configurations and purposes. One Online Double-Conversion UPS system for the Main Server must provide 15 to 30 minutes of runtime to enable safe, automated shutdown and prevent database corruption and hard drive damage during power loss events. Two Standard Workstation UPS systems are required for VMS workstations at the Primary and Alternate BDOC (Building Domestic Operations Center), each with 15 minutes of runtime to maintain operator workstations during the 15-second startup gap for the building generator. One Industrial Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) UPS for the Main Gate Cameras must deliver 4 hours of continuous runtime to ensure Entry Control Point cameras remain fully operational during prolonged localized grid failures and maintain force protection capabilities. All requirements are governed by UFC 4-021-02 (Unified Facilities Criteria for Electrical and Lighting Systems), with the camera UPS system additionally referenced to UFGS 28 10 05 (Unified Facilities Guide Specifications for Electrical and Communications).
