Project No.: FXSB162207

Drawing CS101 shows no profile for water service. Specification section 221113 3.4 E calls for bury piping with depth of cover over top at least 36 inches, with top at least 12 inches below level of maximum frost penetration. Specifications and drawings do not call out a frost level. Is the intent to install the water line with only 36” of cover?

176 CES Response: Drawing CS101, design is based on means and methods which leaves room for contractor to develop best solutions. Specification section 221113 3.4, in addition to existing verbiage, add that contractor is to cover line with 2 inches of blue board insulation for every foot shy of ten (10) feet that they decide to bury the line and that the width of blue board will need to be extended out and buried at a depth to form a 45 degree angle with the line.

176 CES Response: Same response as question 1 above regarding covering.
