About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract W15QKN-26-Q-155Z, addressing clarifications related to a Server Room renovation or upgrade project.

The document clarifies key specifications and requirements for the work: surface-mounted conduit must remain uncovered for inspections; ceiling tiles are fire-rated acoustic tiles; the measured sound pressure level for the Server Room is 95 decibels; door replacement is not an option; servers can be shut down during installation if required; and the wall between the Server Room and adjacent Conference Room consists of 3.5-inch galvanized metal studs at 16 inches on-center with 0.5-inch QuietRock 530 acoustic insulation and sound-sealed caulking on both sides. The document permits work in the Conference Room to address noise overflow, provided such work does not interfere with existing HVAC penetrations into the Server Room or alter the composition of the Server Room walls. An attached diagram provides visual specifications for the wall assembly between the two spaces.

Q2: Please confirm the measured sound pressure level of 95 decibels (db).

A2: 95db was the reading we have previously received for the Server Room.

Q3: What is the type and ratings for the ceiling tiles?

A3: The ceiling tiles are fire rated acoustic ceiling tiles.

Q4: Would a door replacement be an Option?

A5: We can have the servers shutdown during installation, if required.

Q6: What is the composition of the wall between the Server Room and the adjacent conference room?

A6: See attached diagram below with specifications.

Q7: Is work allowed in the conference room to alleviate overflow noise?
