About this file

This document is a Scope and Pricing Attachment (UTA25-70028JB) for a mattress replacement project at the University of Texas at Arlington, specifically targeting KC Hall and Vandergriff Hall. The project involves removing and replacing 919 total mattresses (418 in KC Hall and 501 in Vandergriff Hall), with an installation schedule set between June 30th and July 15th, 2025, during work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The university reserves the right to make multiple bid awards and will evaluate vendors based on a comprehensive "Best Value" criteria that includes factors such as purchase price, vendor reputation, service quality, compliance with university needs, and historical relationship.

The bidding process requires vendors to provide detailed qualifications, including company information, employee count, and references. Insurance requirements are extensive, mandating coverage including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and business auto liability with specific minimum coverage limits. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, and disposal of existing mattresses, with work to be performed professionally and safely. The university emphasizes background checks for all personnel and requires contractors to maintain professional conduct while working on campus. Pricing should be comprehensive, covering removal, installation, and disposal of mattresses at both halls.
