About this file

This document is an Insurance Requirements document for The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) Procurement Services, detailing comprehensive insurance coverage specifications for contractors performing work on university property. The requirements outline mandatory insurance policies and coverage limits, including Workers' Compensation (statutory limits), Employer's Liability ($1,000,000), Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence), Business Auto Liability ($1,000,000 single limit), and other related insurance provisions.

The insurance requirements mandate that all policies (except Workers' Compensation) must name the Board of Regents of the University of Texas System and UTA as Additional Insureds. Contractors must use insurance carriers authorized in Texas with an A.M. Best Rating of A-:VII or better. Key provisions include primary and non-contributory coverage endorsements, a waiver of subrogation, and a requirement for 30-day notice before policy cancellation or material changes. Contractors must provide evidence of insurance on a Texas Department of Insurance approved certificate form before commencing work and annually verify continued insurance coverage.
