About this file

This document is a Scope of Work for Inmate Clothing and Accessories (Bid 25-B-132AK) issued by Volusia County's Division of Corrections in Florida. The county anticipates purchasing approximately $140,000 in inmate clothing and miscellaneous items annually, with the understanding that actual expenditures may vary based on inmate population fluctuations. The contract will cover a range of essential items including ankle socks, shirts, pants, shorts, blankets, towels, personal hygiene products, and other accessories. Delivery is specified as within fourteen (14) regular days of order receipt, with no minimum order quantity or cost requirements.

The pricing structure requires respondents to complete a detailed pricing list (Attachment 1), indicating whether items are first or second quality, and providing fixed discounts applicable to their standard catalog prices. Respondents must submit current price lists or catalogs with their quote, with electronic versions preferred. Delivery charges must be included in bid prices, though the county will cover shipping for special or expedited orders with prior authorization. Vendors are expected to provide clear ordering procedures and notify the county of any special sales or clearance events related to the listed items. The solicitation emphasizes transparency in pricing, requiring purchase receipts and invoices to clearly show applied discounts.
