About this file
This technical factors document outlines requirements for an airfield maintenance contract at Dyess AFB covering two main components: airfield markings and runway rubber removal.
For airfield markings, contractors must provide a detailed work plan covering marking installation per project drawings, with a 210-day performance period limited to weekend runway closures. Past performance requires completion of minimum 2 similar projects in past 3 years, including removal/painting of 200,000 square feet of pavement markings on an active airfield within a 5-day period. For runway rubber removal, contractors must submit a work plan for rubber removal and marking operations, also with a 210-day performance period limited to weekend closures. Past performance requires 3 similar projects in past 3 years, including successful completion of 348,000 SF of rubber removal in one weekend. Both components require detailed equipment lists, material submittals, phasing plans, and coordination with airfield management. All work must be performed during periods of minimal aircraft operations with prior coordination.
