About this file

Exhibit A-2 - Surcharge Certification is a document related to a contract opportunity issued by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) for a Pavement Friction Trailer Rig. The contract term is for nine (9) years. Bidders are encouraged to attend a Pre-Bid Meeting on 9/5/24 at 9:15 AM. The document provides instructions and options for bidders to certify if they will assess surcharges on contracted items, including details on when and how the surcharges will be applied.

The document outlines two surcharge options for bidders - assessing surcharges at the time of order or at the time of shipment. Bidders must select one of these options or indicate that they will not assess surcharges during the life of the contract. If surcharges are applicable, the document specifies that they must be used on a pass-through basis and not to increase profits, and that bidders may be asked to provide proof of the surcharges. The document also allows bidders to indicate a schedule for when surcharges may change, such as weekly, monthly, quarterly, or on a case-by-case basis.
