About this file

This is a Sales and Use Tax Construction Contract Exemption Certificate issued by the City of Toledo, Ohio, for the Savage Park Picnic Shelter Construction project. The certificate authorizes the exemption of sales and use taxes on tangible personal property and materials purchased for incorporation into the construction project. The document requires signatures from the contractee (owner), a government official representing the political subdivision, the prime contractor, and any subcontractors involved in the project. All parties must retain copies of the certificate, and when materials are purchased from suppliers, the purchasing contractor or subcontractor must sign each copy provided to the vendor. The certificate is valid as of January 1, 2026, and is signed by the City of Toledo's Commissioner of Purchases and Supplies at One Government Center, Suite 2000, Toledo, Ohio 43604.

The exemption certificate covers construction materials and services incorporated into real property owned by or to be accepted by a political subdivision of Ohio, which includes the City of Toledo as a municipal government entity. The tax exemption is applicable under Ohio Revised Code provisions and eliminates sales tax obligations on eligible materials and services for this public construction project. Contractors and subcontractors bidding on the Savage Park Picnic Shelter Construction project must obtain and properly execute this exemption certificate to avoid sales tax charges on qualifying materials and must comply with all related City of Toledo bidding requirements, including submission of the Construction Project Paperwork Packet and appropriate certifications prior to award.
