About this file

This is a bid solicitation from the Office of Water Resources for the procurement of solar marine lights (buoy lights) to be delivered to the Stratton Lock and Dam in McHenry, Illinois. The solicitation requests a total of 61 buoy lights in four colors: 7 white lights, 11 amber lights, 24 green lights, and 19 red lights. The specification document does not indicate response deadlines, bid due dates, site visit opportunities, bidders' conferences, award dates, or contract term information.

The buoy lights must be Carmanah model solar-powered LED lights with a nominal 4-inch diameter, powered by replaceable rechargeable batteries, capable of a minimum 1-mile visibility range and strobing at 60 flashes per minute. All lights must meet or exceed IP 68 waterproof and dust-proof standards and include bolt holes or brackets for mounting to buoy tops. The specifications exclude bird arresters or spikes. Delivery shall be F.O.B. destination with shipping costs included in the bid price. Vendors must submit product literature with their quotes, and all lights must be new, unused, and free from defects. The document includes a reference to image1.jpeg, which presumably contains the mounting pattern specifications for the buoy lights.
