Trailer
Purchase 12, initial, trailer shelter combination to be used as a mobile communication facilities. The trailer must be class rated to accommodate the shelter plus associated communication equipment. The trailer will use a goose neck or bumper pull hitch based on the weight classification determined by the gross vehicle weight. The trailer length must not exceed 28’ (w/o coupler). The trailer must have a shelter access stair with minimum rating for 500 lbs. The trailer must have a leveling system, jacks and plates and outriggers, minimum rating of 7000 lbs. The trailer must have electric breaks with break-away kit and LED lights. The trailer must have D Ring tie downs. The trailer must meet all DOT requirement for public road use without permitting. All LED lighting must comply with FCC-Title 47, CFR Part 15, Class B. The trailer must have connections points for hurricane/seismic tie downs.
Equipment Shelter
The equipment shelter must be 96”(w)x192”(l)x108”(h) minimum external. The shelter must have an R18 insulation value, minimum. The shelter roof must be non-slip coated, accessible and walkable. The shelter must have a 40 psf live load for the roof and 140 mph wind loading. The equipment shelter must have 2 - 2 ton HVAC units with 24,000 BTU of heating with a minimum 16 SEER. The HVAC must have a “Lead/Lag” thermostat, i.e. load share and run time sharing. The equipment shelter must have one 32 circuit 240/120 volt ac 200 amp rated load center. The shelter must have LED exterior safety lighting, minimum lighting at shelter access stairs. The equipment shelter must have switched interior lights, convenience outlets. The load center must be bolt-in breaker style with 100 amp main breaker, such as Square D, QOB or equivalent. The shelter must have an exterior EG non-fused disconnect. The shelter door must be capable of accepting a Best Lock secure, i.e. 6 tumbler, controlled key core or padlock.
Floor must be treated with industrial grade ESD epoxy flooring, or other FAA approved product FAA Standard 19f. See attached drawing xxxx-xx-xxx for specific location for:
• Shelter wall/floor penetrations.

• RF cable raceway
• 2”x2” square wireway
• Wire raceway for signal and control wiring and a separate wire raceway for ac low voltage for the equipment racks.
• Automatic Transfer switch (100 amp with switched neutral)
• TVSS (Rayvoss 120-2S-N1-3-06-A-H)
• Telco/Field cable wallboard (48”x48”x3/4” FRP or fire rated paint)

Antenna Tower
The trailer shelter combination must also have a self-supporting retractable tower system. The tower retraction must be electro-mechanically assisted. The self-supporting antenna tower must be capable of extending 50 feet. The wind loading for the antenna tower must be 90 mph for self-supported and guy supports for above 90 mph with ¼ inch nominal ice thickness. The antenna tower must be capable of accepting 4 antennas and one obstruction light. The antennas must be separated by 8’, same elevation.
The obstruction light is center mount and is NOT included on the 8 foot separation requirements. The antenna mounts must be compatible with standard aviation class omni-directional antennas, i.e. DPV-36 or D5072. The Obstruction light is LED / IR Obstruction Lights compliant with the FAA's Advisory Circular 150/5345-43J.
The following are the characteristic for the ancillary equipment to be mounting on the antenna tower:
• minimum antenna weight is 19 lbs per antenna.
• minimum antenna length is 154”
• obstruction light weighs 16 lbs
• typical RF cable will be LDF4-50A or LMR-400 o LDF4-50A - 0.15 lbs/f (riser, 8 cables) o LMR – 0.10 lbs/f (3.2 lbs from antenna mass to antenna)
RF cable management must be through the center of the antenna mounting apparatus. Cable management system must be capable of managing 16 RF cables, per manufacture recommendation, for antennas and one flexible ac power cable for the obstruction light. The obstruction light power conductor must be UV rated SOW type.
