About this file
This is a Notice of Intent to Certify Sole Source from the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) announcing the procurement of a physician scheduling platform renewal for the Neurology Department. The procurement concerns the renewal of QGenda, a centralized scheduling system that provides physicians and residents with mobile access to call, work, and rotation schedules while offering real-time visibility of scheduling changes and conflict alerts. The sole source certification number is SS9743. The initial advertisement was published on August 17, 2026, with a second advertisement on August 24, 2026. The response deadline for objections from interested parties is August 31, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Central Time, with notice of award or no award also posted on August 31, 2026. The contract term is three years.
The estimated expenditure for this procurement is $120,000 over the three-year renewal period. UMMC justifies the sole source certification under Mississippi state law, citing QGenda as the exclusive provider of licensing and support for this product and noting that the platform's proprietary logic, customizable features, advanced forecasting tools, and third-party integrations are not available from competing vendors. UMMC reserves the right to determine during the certification period whether additional enhancements, upgrades, support, or equipment are within scope and may adjust spending authority accordingly. Pricing has been compared against available market intelligence with applicable discounts pursued. Interested parties wishing to object to the sole source certification must submit responses using the Vendor Form available from the Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration, including the required Objection Certification, and email responses to solesource@umc.edu by the deadline.
