About this file
This document outlines specifications for a ceramic tile installation project. The project involves installing ceramic, porcelain, and quarry tile, as well as marble thresholds and window stools, in the interior of a VA medical center. The specifications cover tile types and standards, backer units, waterproofing membranes, setting and grouting materials, and installation requirements. Key aspects include requiring porcelain paver tile with a matte finish to match existing, slip-resistant tile for floors, and cove and bullnose trim shapes. Cementitious backer units and glass mat backer board are specified for wet areas. Installation must follow TCNA and ANSI standards.
