SPECIFICATIONS
HANDHELD CONTAMINATION, SANITIZATION INSPECTION, AND DISINFECTION SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS
I. BACKGROUND
The ARS Environmental Microbial and Food Safety Laboratory (EMFSL) in Beltsville, Maryland plans to purchase two Contamination, Sanitization Inspection (CSI) and two Contamination, Sanitization Inspection, and Disinfection (CSI-D+) systems for food safety research. The CSI and CSI-D+ systems are handheld fluorescence imaging devices, which incorporate illumination, imaging, battery, display, and processing units in a single package. The EMFSL already has first-generation CSI and CSI-D+ systems. The CSI and CSI-D+ systems to be purchased are second-generation. Both first- and second-generation systems must work with same graphical user interface (GUI) software on a computer for device control and image acquisition. Also, the acquired image and video data using the first- and second-generation systems must be compatible each other.
II. REQUIREMENTS
We want to purchase two (2) Contamination, Sanitization Inspection (CSI) and two (2) Contamination, Sanitization Inspection, and Disinfection (CSI-D+) systems for food safety research.
The CSI and CSI-D+ systems must be capable of the following:
