About this file
This document contains a Product Sheet for the CSI-D+ Contamination, Sanitization Inspection and Disinfection system manufactured by SafetySpect, Inc. and a related Federal Contract Opportunity solicitation from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS) for a handheld contamination, sanitization inspection, and disinfection system.
The Product Sheet describes the key features of the CSI-D+ system, including its ability to detect and disinfect various types of contaminants using UV-C and violet wavelengths. It provides technical specifications such as dimensions, power source, and safety standards. The Federal Contract Opportunity solicitation, Solicitation Number 12305B24Q0159, seeks a contractor to provide a system meeting the salient characteristics described in the attached specifications. This is a 100% small business set-aside with an NAICS code of 334516 and a size standard of 1,000 employees. Quotes are due by 8/19/2024 at 2:00 PM PST and must demonstrate the ability to meet or exceed the technical requirements. Award will be made on a Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis.

Product Name: CSI-D+ Contamination, Sanitization Inspection and Disinfection system
Model: SS-CSID-01 Manufacturer: SafetySpect, Inc Origin: Invented, Developed, and Assembled in the USA, Patent Pending [1]
EPA Registration Number 85548-ND-001 EPA Establishment Number 98766-CA-1
FEATURES:
1. CSID+: detection achieved through UVC (275nm) and violet (405nm) wavelengths.
2. CSI: detection achieved through UVA (365nm) and violet (405nm) wavelengths.
3. Creates UV-C irradiation of 7.6 mW/cm2 at 5” distance (CSID+).
4. Produces no ozone or other secondary contaminants.
5. High-quality LED illumination design for a long lifespan and no mercury.
6. Portable, versatile, and easy.
7. Use on products and equipment where chemicals and liquids can’t be used.
8. Dimensions: 11.4” x 8.2” x 7.9” (290cm x 209cm x 201cm)
9. Wireless Communication: Wi-Fi 801.11ac
How the technology works:
The CSI Imaging Device allows cleaning auditors to quickly, safely, and easily visualize and document potentially harmful contamination residue presence af ter cleaning on high-touch and high-risk surfaces in real-time. The f luorescence imaging scanner is non-contact, and no f luorescent dyes or reagents are required for operation.
Examples of invisible organic residues include saliva and respiratory droplets [2], vegetable and grain starch [2], leafy vegetable residue [2], fecal matter contamination [3], fats and oils, and animal protein residue. The CSI scanner is an EPA-registered device comprised of a high-resolution color LCD display and touch-sensitive screen with integrated optical and microelectronic components. The handheld scanner is battery-operated and rechargeable and incorporates illumination, imaging, battery power, display, and processing units in a single system.
A unique capability of CSID+ is to provide immediate spot disinfection using the UV-C germicidal ef fect when residual contamination is discovered during audits. Our in vitro studies show that CSI-D+ completely neutralizes residual viruses, bacteria, and fungi in seconds (Inf luenza A, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella, Aspergillus fumigatus) [2,4].
The CSI scanner uses its patented technology to enable real-time standard light and f luorescence imaging of residue on contaminated surfaces under normal indoor ambient light conditions. The CSI technology captures real-time images (JPEG) and videos (MP4) in both standard imaging and f luorescence imaging.
