How the technology works:

The CSI Imaging Device allows cleaning auditors to quickly, safely, and easily visualize and document potentially harmful contamination residue presence af ter cleaning on high-touch and high-risk surfaces in real-time. The f luorescence imaging scanner is non-contact, and no f luorescent dyes or reagents are required for operation.

Examples of invisible organic residues include leafy vegetable residue [2], fecal matter contamination [3], fats and oils, and animal protein residue. The CSI scanner is an EPA-registered device comprised of a high-resolution color LCD display and touch-sensitive screen with integrated optical and microelectronic components. The handheld scanner is battery-operated and rechargeable and incorporates illumination, imaging, battery power, display, and processing units in a single system.

The CSI scanner uses its patented technology to enable real-time standard light and f luorescence imaging of residue on contaminated surfaces under normal indoor ambient light conditions. The CSI technology captures real-time images (JPEG) and videos (MP4) in both standard imaging and f luorescence imaging.

Manufacturing Readiness Level The CSI is currently at MRL 7: Capability to produce systems, subsystems, or components in a production-representative environment. Our manufacturing partner is ComDel Innovation, located in Wahpeton, ND. ComDel Innovation meets medical, aviation, and military standards for manufacturing quality systems.
