About this file
This document is the Attachment 10 Red Plan for Immediate Spill Response Action, which provides guidance on the steps to take in the event of a hazardous materials spill on a U.S. Army installation in Hessen, Germany. The key actions include: 1) Stop or slow the source of the spill while protecting personal safety, 2) Control or contain the spill to prevent it from spreading, and 3) Immediately report spills that pose a threat to safety, health, or the environment. The document outlines the emergency reporting procedures, including who to contact (on-post fire department or German fire department) and the information to provide. It also lists three questions to assess the severity of the spill and determine if emergency reporting is required.
The related federal contract opportunity is for the removal, transportation, and disposal of government-generated hazardous and non-hazardous waste located on military installations in and around Hessen, Germany. This is a full and open competition with a 30-month base period and one 30-month option period, with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2024. Proposals are due by 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on June 10, 2024.
