About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for Project No. 586-26-102 issued by the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS for roofing replacement at two locations - a Warehouse (19,000 SF with 575 LF of flashing) and Mental Health Modular building (7,000 SF with 240 LF of flashing). The project duration is 150 days from Notice to Proceed.
The scope requires installing new 80 mil TPO roofing systems with 30-year warranties at both locations. Key requirements include removing existing roofing down to concrete deck for the Warehouse, installing tapered insulation for ¼" per foot slope, replacing all flashing and roof drains, installing new walk pads around HVAC units, and painting OSHA-compliant safety perimeter lines. The Mental Health building requires installing the new TPO system over existing membrane, with similar requirements for flashing, drains and safety features. A structural evaluation by a licensed engineer is required for the Mental Health building before work can begin. The contractor must provide all labor, materials and supervision, coordinate with facility management to minimize impacts, maintain cleanliness standards appropriate for a medical facility, and may need to work irregular hours. Required certifications include OSHA training (30 hours for foreman, 10 hours for personnel) and current TB test results.
