1. Borrow area R may only be used to provide fill for the optional access ramp into the spillway. The optional access ramp shall exist of fill only and shall not be cut into the existing channel side slope.
2. Overhead power line may be relocated in accordance with specifications.
3. Location of sediment disposal area and requirements for construction and restoration shall be verified and approved by NKAO.
4. The location of all drill holes and test pits is approximate within +/- 10 feet. The location of the spillway structure is approximate and has not been survey verified.
5. Coordinates are local in U.S. survey feet. See Drawing 495-600-60031 for additional survey information.
6. Refer to Drawing 495-D-60004 Legend and Symbols.

0.0' to 1.7' - CONCRETE (Conc):
0.0' to 1.7' - Concrete (Conc): Approximately 70% sedimentary aggregate, 30% sandy gray matrix, max size 1.5"; concrete is hard and fresh with good aggregate bond; few vugs 1/4" to 1/2", strong reaction with HCl

1.7' to 3.0' - WELL-GRADED GRAVEL WITH SAND (GW)s: Approximately 80% fine to coarse limestone gravel, angular, hard, strong reaction with HCl;
approximately 20% fine to medium grain, hard, subrounded sand.
3.0' to 83.4' - CRETACEOUS GREENHORN FORMATION (Kgh):
The Greenhorn Limestone is predominately very fine grained with few thin sandy beds and ranges from laminated to moderately bedded. Interbedded gray limestone and dark gray calcareous shale, with thin beds of blue-gray bentonite. Beds of oyster fossils as well as singular oyster fossils are common. The Greenhorn Limestone is intensely to moderately fractured (FD6) from 3.0' to approximately 67.2', and is slightly fractured (FD3) from 67.2' to 83.4'. An approximately 1.0' bentonite bed marks the contact between the Greenhorn Limestone and the Graneros Shale.
Limestone is moderately soft (H5) slightly weathered to fresh (W2). Strong reaction to HCl.
Shale and bentonite are very soft (H7) and slightly weathered to fresh (W2). Shale has strong reaction with HCl; bentonite has weak to no reaction with HCl. Rock core often separates easily along the smooth fossil faces.
Bedding plane separations due to slaking occur within minutes of coring and are numerous (DI4).
83.4' to 99.8' - CRETACEOUS GRANEROS SHALE (Kg):
Dark gray calcareous shale with few very thin limestone beds. Shale is very soft (H7) and slightly weathered to fresh (W2), strong reaction to HCl. Limestone is moderately soft (H5) slightly weathered to fresh (W2), Conc

strong reaction to HCl. The Graneros Shale is thickly bedded with very thin beds of limestone and few oyster fossil beds. Rock core often separates easily along the smooth fossil faces. Bedding planes are usually smooth with no fill, though pyrite was found to have filled fractures near the bottom of the borehole. Bedding plane separations due to slaking occur within minutes of coring and are numerous (DI4). Bedding dip is 85 to 90 degrees from vertical. The Graneros shale is slightly fractured (FD3) from 83.4' to 99.8'.
