About this file

This document is a federal solicitation for the procurement of MK62 Mod 1 A Cable Assemblies for MK 48 Torpedoes. The Navy is seeking to acquire cable assemblies with a National Stock Number of 1355-01-436-4620, with a base requirement of 350 units and an option for up to 120% additional units. The solicitation (N0010426RK022) is a firm fixed-price contract with first article testing required, and estimated testing costs of $80,000 will be added to evaluation pricing.

The contract will be awarded through a best value trade-off methodology, with past performance and small business participation being significantly more important than price. Offerors must submit proposals addressing four volumes: Introductory, Past Performance, Small Business Participation, and Pricing. Delivery locations include naval facilities in Keyport, Washington; Yorktown, Virginia; and Ewa Beach, Hawaii. The base contract quantities include 100 units to NUWC Keyport, 125 units to Naval Submarine Torpedo Facility, and 125 units to Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division. Proposals are due by the specified time, with contract performance involving manufacturing, testing, and delivery of cable assemblies for torpedo systems.
