About this file
This document is a Sole Source Information form from the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) Research Division detailing a procurement process for a specialized system upgrade. The agency is seeking to upgrade their existing CS9100 Inertial Profiling System, which can only be obtained from a single manufacturer and supplier. The vendor is the sole source for the equipment, and MDOT has attempted to validate pricing and availability by publishing a local newspaper advertisement and entering a Request for Information (RFIN) into the MAGIC portal.
The procurement involves negotiating the best possible price for the system upgrade, with the vendor providing a quote that MDOT considers reasonable. For those wishing to object to the sole source procurement, the document provides contact information for MDOT Procurement Division staff, including Scott Myrick, Ashley Harrell, and Harris VanBuskirk. Interested parties are instructed to submit a detailed explanation on the Objection to Sole Source Determination (OSS) form, explaining why they believe the procurement should not be considered a sole source procurement. The contact address is located at 401 North West Street, Room 5100, Jackson, MS 39201, with phone and fax numbers provided for further communication.
