OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contractor: Implement, Mitigate and Monitor during all construction related activities

• CMC: Oversight

ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE (1)

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

Coordination with local authorities where required, including issues related to:

• Rights-of-way

Work located within narrow roads in villages through residential and school areas:

• Inform the public in advance about construction activities

• Implement dust and noise control practices

• Implement approved safety and traffic plans

ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE (2)

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS (continued)

Private agricultural lands and open areas:

• Prohibit unapproved disposal or storage of construction materials and waste

• Protect existing vegetation and trees, and potentially present wild life in open areas

Utilities (above and underground):

• Identify and coordinate with appropriate authorities/owners

• Avoid any damage to existing utilities, including cesspits

• Provide reliable, safe and affordable water supply and storage system for Yatta City and the nearby Beit Emra village

• Replace existing deteriorated distribution pipeline

• Provide water supply for unserved Areas (20,000 inhabitants) in Yatta City

• About 5 meter of soil will be replaced under the reservoir due to cavity in the ground
