About this file
This document is a solicitation from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for the procurement of Acclima soil-water content sensors with time domain reflectometry (TDR) technology. The department plans to purchase and install these sensors at over forty mesonet stations to integrate the soil moisture and temperature data into the Missouri Mesonet system, which transmits the monitoring data to NOAA and makes it publicly available. The specific sensors required are the Acclima TDR 315N Soil Water Content Sensor and the Acclima True TDR Soil Moisture Sensor Reader Kit (SDI-12). The solicitation has an estimated total value and is open to all vendors, with a response due date of July 19, 2024. The contract will begin on July 15, 2024 and run through July 19, 2024.
The solicitation requires delivery of the sensors to be free on board destination, with vendor-specified payment terms. There are no line items listed, and the contract does not appear to have any set-asides or incumbent information provided. The funding source and requirements are not explicitly stated, but the goal is to integrate the sensor data into the Missouri Mesonet system to support NOAA's monitoring efforts.

Who can respond to this bid? : All Vendors Description: The department will be purchasing and installing the volumetric Soil-
Water content sensors at over forty mesonet stations to integrate the soil moisture and temperature data into the Missouri Mesonet system, which continuously transmits monitoring station data to NOAA and make the data publicly available. The Acclima time domain reflectometry (TDR) soil-water sensors have been selected for this project because of their proven performance in soils with high clay content and smectite clay minerology, which are both common in Missouri. The TDR 315N Soil Water Content Sensor, which has 15 cm long sensor rods, measures soil moisture and temperature. The Acclima True TDR Soil Moisture Sensor Reader Kit (SDI-12) will allow the department to install soil sensors near Missouri Mesonet stations to connect the sensors to the weather station data loggers.
