About this file
This is a single feasible source solicitation (SFSK25000093) from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for Acclima Soil-Water Content Sensors with TDR Technology. The solicitation involves purchasing and installing volumetric soil-water content sensors at over forty mesonet stations to integrate soil moisture and temperature data into the Missouri Mesonet system, which transmits monitoring station data to NOAA. Specifically, the department requires TDR 315N Soil Water Content Sensors with 15 cm long sensor rods and the Acclima True TDR Soil Moisture Sensor Reader Kit (SDI-12). The solicitation period runs from July 15, 2024 at 8:00:00 AM CDT to July 19, 2024 at 5:00:00 PM CDT, and is open to all vendors.
The delivery terms are specified as Free On Board Destination with vendor-specified payment terms. The solicitation has been designated as having no line items, and no estimated total value is provided. The sensors were selected specifically for their proven performance in soils with high clay content and smectite clay minerology, which are common in Missouri. The project contact is Brenda Kaden at the Department of Natural Resources in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Who can respond to this bid? : All Vendors Description: The department will be purchasing and installing the volumetric Soil-
Water content sensors at over forty mesonet stations to integrate the soil moisture and temperature data into the Missouri Mesonet system, which continuously transmits monitoring station data to NOAA and make the data publicly available. The Acclima time domain reflectometry (TDR) soil-water sensors have been selected for this project because of their proven performance in soils with high clay content and smectite clay minerology, which are both common in Missouri. The TDR 315N Soil Water Content Sensor, which has 15 cm long sensor rods, measures soil moisture and temperature. The Acclima True TDR Soil Moisture Sensor Reader Kit (SDI-12) will allow the department to install soil sensors near Missouri Mesonet stations to connect the sensors to the weather station data loggers.
