About this file
This document is a solicitation from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for the purchase and installation of Acclima soil-water content sensors with time domain reflectometry (TDR) technology at over forty mesonet stations. The purpose is to integrate soil moisture and temperature data into the Missouri Mesonet system, which continuously transmits monitoring station data to NOAA and makes it publicly available. The Acclima TDR 315N sensors with 15 cm rods were selected due to their proven performance in Missouri's soils with high clay content and smectite clay mineralogy. The department will also procure Acclima's True TDR Soil Moisture Sensor Reader Kits (SDI-12) to connect the sensors to the weather station data loggers.
The solicitation has an estimated total value and allows responses from all vendors. The start date is July 15, 2024, and the end date is July 19, 2024. The document includes contact information for Brenda Kaden at the DNR. Pricing and payment terms are to be specified by the vendor. The project will be funded by the state of Missouri and implemented across jurisdictions including Clark County and Jefferson City.

Who can respond to this bid? : All Vendors Description: The department will be purchasing and installing the volumetric Soil-
Water content sensors at over forty mesonet stations to integrate the soil moisture and temperature data into the Missouri Mesonet system, which continuously transmits monitoring station data to NOAA and make the data publicly available. The Acclima time domain reflectometry (TDR) soil-water sensors have been selected for this project because of their proven performance in soils with high clay content and smectite clay minerology, which are both common in Missouri. The TDR 315N Soil Water Content Sensor, which has 15 cm long sensor rods, measures soil moisture and temperature. The Acclima True TDR Soil Moisture Sensor Reader Kit (SDI-12) will allow the department to install soil sensors near Missouri Mesonet stations to connect the sensors to the weather station data loggers.
