This document provides guidance for the FY 2023 Recompete Pilot Program - Phase 1 federal grant opportunity. The Economic Development Administration within the Department of Commerce is soliciting applications under Solicitation Number EDA-RECOMPETEPHASE1-2023. Eligible applicants will compete for funding to support economic development planning and project implementation in distressed communities. The assistance is provided under the Distressed Area Recompete Pilot Program federal grant. Successful applicants will receive funding to develop comprehensive economic development strategies and implement related projects that create jobs and stimulate private investment. The submission deadline for Phase 1 applications is listed with awards expected by the following dates. Details are provided on applicable federal grant programs and eligibility requirements.
