About this file

This is a Scope of Work document from the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) for the Northern Nevada Correctional Center (NNCC) located at 1721 E. Snyder Avenue, Carson City, Nevada. The project involves refinishing the gym flooring in the facility's athletics building, which measures approximately 80 by 100 square feet and is constructed of maple wood plank. The scope of work requires contractors to inspect and clean the gym floor, seal off the work area to contain dust, sand the entire court to bare wood, repair cracks and replace damaged or warped floorboards with matching maple wood planking, apply MFMA-approved sealer, and repaint existing gym lines and basketball court markings. The contractor must provide a materials list prior to facility entry and maintain a reconciled tool inventory each day. All work must be completed by June 30, 2026, with work occurring Monday through Friday on a schedule coordinated with the Facility Supervisor. The contractor must meet with both the Athletic and Recreation Supervisor and Facility Supervisor at project initiation to discuss tool safety, security requirements, timeline and outcomes, and must provide regular project updates to the Facility Supervisor. A final inspection with both supervisors is required before project completion.

Contractors must be appropriately licensed with the Nevada Contractor's Board and must provide a minimum one-year warranty on completed work. The State will not reimburse contractors for price adjustments or overtime labor caused by delays due to security-related issues, including institution lockdowns, prison escapes or attempted escapes, limited correctional officer coverage, contraband, sally-port inspections, offender counts and miscounts, or any potential risks to institutional welfare and security. Invoices should be submitted to the Nevada Department of Corrections, Attn: Accounting/Contracts, PO Box 7011, Carson City, Nevada 89702, with payment typically made electronically within 45 to 60 days of receipt, provided all required documentation has been submitted.
