About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for the City of Meriden, Connecticut, regarding flooring replacement services at Edison Middle School. The project involves the removal and replacement of approximately 4,088 square feet of VCT flooring in the SOAR hallway, gym, teacher offices, and connected side halls. The flooring contractor must remove the existing flooring, properly dispose of the material, provide dumpsters for debris throughout the project duration, and install a new moisture mitigation system (Mapie Planiseal, Sika MB, Ardex MC Rapid 20-year warranted epoxy system, or equivalent) before installing new VCT flooring to match existing patterns. Floor grinding will be performed with HEPA vacuum attachment, though complete dust-free conditions are not guaranteed, and the contractor must take precautions to protect surrounding surfaces. Work may be completed during summer hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily. Furniture moving and VCT waxing will be performed by others.

No specific pricing terms, bid due dates, site visit requirements, bidder conference information, or contract award dates are detailed in this scope of work document. Funding sources and budget amounts are not specified in the provided material. The document does not identify any incumbent contractors or set-asides. Additional contract terms, including the contract duration and any renewal options, are not addressed in this scope overview.
