Transition Approach & Challenges
Approach
All Mission Iraq sites to be transitioned over a 90-day period
Four sites broken down into three regions suggests that two transition teams should be established to transition 1-2 sites every 30 days
Challenges
Ramadan occurs during the month of July and August
(middle of expected transition period)
Site closures within the IZ will restrict housing availability
New approach to food services requires new facility design that is best done by the winning BLISS contractor
Inventory, transfer and acceptance of GFE represents the most time consuming transition requirement
