About this file

This document provides detailed specifications for a 6,000-gallon self-contained fuel dispensing system intended for Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) operations. The system is designed to store and dispense AVGAS and Jet-A fuel directly on the flight line, serving as a centralized, static refueling point that increases operational efficiency by reducing dependence on mobile fuel trucks and minimizing aircraft servicing times.

The tank is constructed to UL 2085 "Fireguard" standards with a fire-protected, bullet-resistant, and impact-resistant double-wall design. It features heavy-gauge steel shells (1/4" thickness) and heads (5/16" thickness) with epoxied interior lining for Jet-A compatibility and a high-performance Envirolastic 940 DTM polyaspartic urethane exterior finish. The system includes a 3/4 HP FE Petro Pump Assembly with anti-syphon valve, a 1" Hannay hose reel with 25 feet of hose, a Total Control 682-15 piston meter with 10:1 pulser for accurate measurement, and a UL-listed lockable dispensing cabinet (3'6" x 4'2" x 6'6") with a 3'x6' roll-up door. Safety features encompass overfill prevention via high-level shut-off valve, dual 8" emergency pressure/vacuum vents with a 3" stack vent extending 12 feet above grade, a 2" 918 clock gauge with integrated alarm for fuel level monitoring, and an interstitial leak gauge for secondary containment monitoring. The system includes an external ladder with safety shield, 24" manway for tank access, complete decal kit, and is backed by a 30-year tank warranty from the Steel Tank Institute.

Salient Characteristics of 6,000-Gallon Fuel Dispensing System

We are requesting to purchase a 6,000-gallon self-contained fuel dispensing system to support Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) operations. This system provides a safe, robust, and compliant solution for storing and dispensing AVGAS and Jet-A fuel directly on the flight line. Its purpose is to establish a centralized, static refueling point for AGE assets, increasing operational efficiency by reducing reliance on mobile fuel trucks and minimizing aircraft servicing times.

The system is engineered for safety and durability in a demanding airfield environment. It is built to the UL 2085 "Fireguard" standard, meaning it is a fire-protected, bullet-resistant, and impact-resistant double-wall tank. Integrated safety features include emergency venting, overfill prevention with a high-level shut-off valve, and an interstitial leak gauge to ensure containment integrity. The lockable dispensing cabinet houses a complete, ready-to-use refueling package, including a pump, meter, hose reel, and nozzle, providing a secure and accountable method for dispensing fuel. This turnkey system is essential for maintaining a ready and responsive AGE fleet.
