About this file
This document is a policy and procedure manual for the Department of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Sheriff's Office. The manual establishes a process for the development and review of departmental policies and procedures, which are organized into seven classifications and accessible to all department employees and the public. The manual outlines the responsibilities of the Policy Review Committee, the structure and content of the policy manual, and the process for disseminating new or revised policies.
The related state and local contract opportunity is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the procurement of jail glass and cell glass. The RFQ provides detailed specifications for the required products, including tempered, laminated, and wire glass in various sizes and thicknesses, and seeks fixed pricing for the supply and delivery of these materials to multiple locations within the state. The resulting contract will have an initial term of one year, with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year periods. The RFQ has set aside a portion of the work for certified minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned business enterprises, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Standard Contract Form will be used for this procurement.
