Q20: What is the difference between ITB Attachment D – Bid Submittal Form and ITB Attachment A – Sample Contract, Exhibit D – Schedule of Prices.
A20: ITB Attachment D – Bid Submittal Form is the form on which you will submit your pricing (Bid) to be considered for Award. ITB Attachment A – Sample Contract, Exhibit D – Schedule of Prices will be included with the awarded contract. Per ITB Subsection 3.3.2 Required Forms, only ITB Attachment D – Bid Submittal Form is required to be included in the Bid.
Q21: Exhibit D, Schedule of prices: 3.1.4: There are 640 of the C&D UPS12-600MR batteries on the 4 VX systems at your site. There are 40 of the Enersys 12HX205-FR batteries on the VS system. The 680 x UPS12- 490MR statement is incorrect as it reads currently. There is a huge difference in pricing here if not corrected.
A21: See Addendum #02
Q22: 3.1.3, Exhibit D: Full replacement of UPS systems…. The old statement asked for replacement of the modules inside the UPS as I interpreted it. The addendum is asking for complete UPS replacements which is entirely different. Under the contract you are asking for, 3.1.3 is not needed at all as modules inside the UPS are replaced as they fail at no charge to DAS. I see no reason to replace the modules or the UPSs because they are already covered under the service contract. I have module replacement pricing ready to present but if we need UPS pricing, that will take a few weeks to configure, and we will have to leave it out of this bid which is due on the 13th currently.
A22: See Addendum #02
Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) Maintenance Services
Q23: Attachment D & Exhibit D, pricing: Additional Services – Labor (as requested). You ask for Hourly M-F, 8am to 5pm but not after-hours M-F. Then OVERTIME – Weekends and Holidays. Does OVERTIME also mean after hours during weekdays? It is a different rate on weekdays after hours than it is for weekends & holidays which is why we ask.
A23: See Addendum #02
Q24: Q&A doc states there are four units – A1, A2, B1, B2. Addendum states three and five still.
A24: See Addendum #02
Q25: Q&A doc states each unit has four strings of 40 batteries, 160 batteries total. 160 x 4
160. Addendum states there is 680 batteries to be replaced.
