About this file

This Project Initiation Form (PIF) involves the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority's Runway 7-25 Rehabilitation project at Orlando Executive Airport in Florida. The project aims to select a design consultant for comprehensive runway rehabilitation services, focusing on milling and overlaying existing asphalt pavement for Runway 7-25, its blast pads, intersection with Runway 13-31, and connecting taxiways. The scope includes improvements to meet current FAA standards for runway safety area, geometry, drainage, marking, lighting, and signage, with a projected outcome of extending the runway's service life by 20 years.

The project is funded through Operations & Maintenance (O&M) budget code 716 with an estimated budget of $32 million. The procurement will be managed by the Construction Department in accordance with Policy 130.01 or 130.02, and requires On-Airport Representative (OAR) oversight, project management, and AOA access. The contract is structured as a Design-Bid-Build procurement, and specification assistance will be needed. This is not a recurring requirement, nor does it replace an existing contract, and it is not part of a broader project or linked to another contract.
