About this file
This Request for Quotation (RFQ), issued by the Town of Glastonbury, Connecticut, solicits marine engineering services for the rehabilitation of the town's boat ramp and dock located at 300 Welles Street on the Connecticut River. The project seeks a qualified consultant to perform a comprehensive study to restore the boat ramp's functionality, which has been compromised by sediment accumulation. The solicitation requires a detailed bathymetric survey to determine existing grades, evaluate dredging material quantities, and develop 2-3 alternative restoration solutions. The RFQ is open from October 31, 2024, at 7:00 AM EDT to November 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM EST, with a strict policy of not accepting late proposals. The scope of work may potentially extend to include future design and construction phase services.
The solicitation specifies Free On Board Destination delivery terms with vendor-specified payment terms, indicating flexibility in financial arrangements. The RFQ is open to all vendors without specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types. No incumbent vendors were identified, and no estimated total contract value was provided. The primary contact for this opportunity is Nicole Melquist from the Town of Glastonbury, who can be reached at 860-652-7588 or Nicole.Melquist@glastonbury-ct.gov for any questions or clarifications. The project aims to address infrastructural challenges at the town's boat ramp, with a focus on long-term functionality and reduced maintenance requirements through a comprehensive engineering study and potential subsequent implementation phases.
