About this file
This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Town of Glastonbury, Connecticut, solicitation number RPGL-2025-17 for Marine Engineering Services. The town is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or firms to provide engineering consulting services for rehabilitating a boat ramp and dock located at 300 Welles Street on the Connecticut River. The project involves performing a comprehensive study to restore the boat ramp's functionality, which has been severely impeded by sediment accumulation. The study will require a bathymetric survey, evaluation of dredging quantities, and development of 2-3 alternative solutions with detailed cost estimates for design, permitting, and construction. The solicitation is open to all vendors, with proposals due between October 31, 2024, at 7:00 AM EDT and November 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM EST, with a clear stipulation that late proposals will not be considered.
The RFQ indicates delivery terms as Free On Board Destination with payment terms to be specified by the vendor. No estimated total value is provided, and the scope of work may potentially extend to future design and construction phase services. The primary contact for this solicitation is Nicole Melquist from the Town of Glastonbury, who can be reached at 860-652-7588 or Nicole.Melquist@glastonbury-ct.gov. The town has attached two supporting documents: a final solicitation document and instructions for online opening, suggesting a digital submission process for the proposal.
