About this file
The document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Town of Glastonbury, Connecticut, solicitation number RPGL-2025-17 for Marine Engineering Services. The town is seeking qualified individuals or firms to conduct a comprehensive study for rehabilitating the boat ramp and dock located at 300 Welles Street on the Connecticut River. The project aims to address sediment accumulation that has limited the boat ramp's functionality. The study will include a bathymetric survey to determine existing grades, evaluate dredging material quantities, and develop 2-3 alternative restoration solutions with detailed permitting requirements and cost estimates. The solicitation period runs from October 31, 2024, at 7:00 AM EDT to November 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM EST, with strict adherence to the deadline - late proposals will not be considered.
The RFQ is open to all vendors, with delivery terms specified as Free On Board Destination and payment terms to be vendor-specified. No specific contract value was provided, but the scope suggests a substantial professional services engagement that may include future design and construction phase services. The project does not appear to have any specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types. The primary contact is Nicole Melquist from the Town of Glastonbury, who can be reached at 860-652-7588 or Nicole.Melquist@glastonbury-ct.gov for any questions or clarifications. The ultimate goal is to develop a long-term solution for the boat ramp that reduces the need for future dredging and restores its full operational capacity.
