About this file
This is a template specification document for wind turbine and power electronics component submissions dated July 29, 2026.
The Turbine Specifications section requires respondents to provide detailed technical information on wind turbine systems, including make and model, configuration type (VAWT or HAWT), orientation, blade count, rotor diameter, swept area, power regulation method, rated power output at specified wind speeds, RPM range, yaw control type, gearbox specifications, generator type, electrical output characteristics, and annual energy production projections based on a 6 m/s average annual wind speed using Rayleigh distribution. Component OEMs that partner with turbine manufacturers should complete the full turbine table; those without turbine partnerships may substitute representative turbine data or modify the table to address only their specific component or system.
The Power Electronics Specifications section requires customization based on the type of power electronics submitted (such as inverters or controllers) and calls for documentation of make and model, input voltage range in VDC, maximum input current in ADC, peak efficiency rating, maximum power output, nominal output voltage, frequency, available output voltage options in VAC, and maximum continuous output current in RMS Amps. This template serves as a submission requirement for component and system specifications within a broader federal wind energy procurement or qualification process.

Attachment No. 5 Turbine/Power Electronics Specifications
7/29/2026
Component OEMs that have a turbine OEM partner or collaborator should fill in the information for the turbine, if not they can use data from a representative turbine or modify the table to cover just their component or system.
